A limited edition series of digital photographs which I began shooting on St. Simons Island, Georgia in 2004. Since that time, I’ve made additional visits to the Island in order to add new images to this collection. I’ve worked to create a collection of photographs that depict the subject matter in a romantic, poetic and mysterious manner – and not as photo-realism. To me, the coast has always had a vanishing quality brought on by the constant wind and water erosion changing its’ shape and appearance. I wanted to convey that kind of fluid, energy-driven quality in these photographs. You can see the beach visitors in each photo, but you see through them as though they are transparent in the moment, changing and vanishing before our eyes.
